Chapter 9: The pandemic

Covid-Covid-covid this pandemic among many things has generated on me a lot of anger because I can’t understand the stupid position and attitude from different politicians and presidents around the world with his irresponsible social measures and public health on this context. In addition of that, I’m anger with a lot of people with any capacity to be empathetic with the others and only care his personal safety and comfort and people that can’t understand why woman’s keep fighting until now for his rights.
Keeping outside my hater moment, this pandemic produced on me a hurricane of emotions. I can’t get out of my house and see my friends or don’t have time to rest and think of something other than university makes me feel without energy and that frustrates me a lot. Moreover, if I thinking more about it, this situation makes me feel sad because if I had finished my career a couple of year before, maybe now I would be researching SARS-CoV-2 on a laboratory and I wouldn’t have fear to don’t find a job, It’s a pity but maybe I haven’t too much lucky and that's why I'm passing by this.
However, I feel like I can still move on because I have the support of my friends to talk about anything, laugh watching memes, get a hug by my wonderful dog Copito or watch series with my super friend Gonzi.

    Sometimes I think that too, it would be amazing if we could participate in the SARS-CoV-II investigation

Chapter 6: My career

Biochemistry in a country like this where science was never and will never be a priority is not a well-known career, however, at least for me it has an incredible utility think about it in times of pandemic like these It’s not just essential in the search for a cure or a vaccine, unbelievable is it? But still people do not know it and do not know what could be done with it and I think it is necessary and the duty of us as scientists to carry not only knowledge, but the career or scientific careers to the people, because I believe that by doing so the priorities of the people and especially of the government will increase. This is why, while I would love to devote myself to research I think it would be a much deeper change to bring science and especially my career to people so that science can advance in this country where you only think about the short term and because of it is so mediocre because you don’t realize how important this area is.

Chapter 1: My life until now

My name is Catalina José Zúñiga Rojas (original no? José). I was born in Curicó, Chile. At the elementary school, I studied at Santa Marta school and San Ramón Nonato school in Curicó, later I completed my high school at Instituto San Martín/Colegio Marista de Curicó in Curicó as well. Now I'm in my second year of biochemestry in the Universidad de Chile in Santiago. I have three sisters one older and two younger. I don't live with my parents and sisters I live in other house with my granny in Romeral, because she is alone and I'm her company. In the past I played the violin but I quiet beacuse I HATE IT. I don´t like anything special and I prefer loneliness.
